First, release water.

The oil-water separator with automatic drainage function is simpler. As long as the alarm signal is obtained, the water release button in the cab can be pressed to release the water. When the water is discharged, the water discharge valve is automatically closed, so that the water in the oil-water separator can be discharged in time.

But the release of water is not as simple as we think. In fact, there are many places to pay attention to when releasing water. Here we will talk about what should be paid attention to when the water separator is discharged.

1, release water in a timely manner.

When routine maintenance is performed every day, look at the oil-water separator. If there is too much water or it exceeds the warning line, we must release the water in time.

2, water release is regular.

First, after the fuel consumption is complete, the water in the oil-water separator needs to be released in time. Secondly, after replacing the fuel filter, the water in the oil-water separator should be released in time.

3. Don't forget to fill the oil after releasing the water.

When draining the water in the oil-water separator, be sure to perform the oil filling operation of the oil pump until the fuel pump is filled.

Second, pay attention to the insulation of the oil-water separator under cold weather.

1. Add a thick cotton coat to the oil-water separator. In the northern region, in order to prevent the water separator from being damaged, some users will heat the oil-water separator, that is, a layer of insulation material.

2. Use a water-oil separator with electric heating function. This can not only prevent the oil-water separator from freezing, but also prevent diesel waxing and the like.

Summary: The oil-water separator acts as a component on the engine and it plays a role in improving the quality of the diesel, which is what is needed for high pressure common rail engines. If there is a problem in the oil-water separator, it will cause a series of faults such as smoke abnormality, valve deposit, engine power drop, etc., which may cause serious engine damage.
